Jennifer Lopez returns to the rom-com game with Marry Me. The famous pop star plays a… famous pop star, who learns of her boyfriend’s (Maluma) affair and marries a random guy at one of her concerts (Owen Wilson). Hijinks and love ensue—you know the deal.

In this romantic comedy, Jenny Slate and Charlie Day play two people who bond after being ditched by their partners for new relationships. So they join forces to bring those couples down. Scott Eastwood, Gina Rodriguez, Manny Jacinto, and Clark Backo costar.

You can always count on Downton Abbey to be heavy on the romance. In this second movie sequel to the TV series, the main romantic focus seems to be on the relationship between Tom Branson (Allen Leech) and Lucy Smith (Tuppence Middleton). And, of course, we get to see a wedding.

The second J.Lo rom-com of the year is Shotgun Wedding, which costars Josh Duhamel and is also sort of an action movie. The pair plays a couple having a destination wedding, but soon they get cold feet and the entire wedding party is taken hostage. A lot going on there, huh?

Yes, it’s another Marvel superhero movie, but it’s also more romantic than most. After all, “love” is right there in the title. Natalie Portman rejoins the MCU as Thor’s (Chris Hemsworth) love interest, Jane Foster, who is becoming a superhero, The Mighty Thor, herself.

Rom-com veterans Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher team up for Your Place or Mine about two friends—one who lives on the East Coast and one on the West Coast—who switch homes for a week, leading to some life-changing situations.

Dakota Johnson stars in this adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion alongside Henry Golding and Cosmo Jarvis. Another one for the movie viewer who likes their romances to also be period pieces.
